Brooklyn Pizza at Domino's Wed, 12/27/06 5:14 PM (permalink)
I'm posting this in the fast food section since it relates to a chain---we just had this today and it was disappointing.
Slices are too big and the pizza is greasy. Domino's haters will probably say "what did you expect?" but I do like their extra thin crust pizza.
Has anyone else tried it? Your thoughts?

The biggest problem is that is Domino's.They use the same tasteless cheese, the same tasteless sauce, and the same tasteless crust.Only difference I can see is they stretch out that crust a little more. And on top they put on the same tasteless pepperoni or sausage. Its not that it tastes bad,it just doesnt taste like anything.

that's what happens when market research does it's job... a totally flavorless product that looks pretty on tv. leave it to professionals and experts to ruin a good thing.......

i do remember when domino's pizza was decent, you could taste real garlic in the freshly-made sauce, the cheese was more like provalone in flavor. now they use canned sauce and extra-mild "pizza cheese"..

Myself & others have documented this time & time again on past threads, I believe since 2004 or earlier.

talk about ironic or perhaps coincidence.... we had an impromptu gathering of the clan last night. For some reason my kids actually LIKE Domino's and placed an order. We got one each of the Brooklyn style large w/peperoni and sausage (a special)and a special 4 with one topping regular style with sides of wings and browny bites. Total cost w/tip $40.00 (not bad for feeding 13 people)

Fresh out of the box and still warm, my 1st slice was peperoni.. eeehh.... better than the 5 for 5buck frozen pizza's but not spectacular, the sausage was pretty much the same and once they cooled down...fagettabout it! There were a few complaints about the crust being to chewy (not from the dogs however)but the son-n-law seemed impressed.. neither one was oily and the slices altough larger than the usual 4 bite Domino slice was NOT as large as a real NY pizza or even the ones I recall from the Seaside Boardwalk pizza shops
