Bucks County PA

I used to have a second home in Bucks County and haven't been back in years. But I remember it as a beautiful place, a bit north of Philadelphia. There were lovely inns and restaurants along the Delaware Canal.

I wonder if anyone's been lately and what is going on foodwise?

(does anyone remember Odette's where newscaster Jessica Savitch died when her car plunged into the canal off the parking lot??) It was a good place, nevertheless.

Although I live but just a short distance away, I am ashamed to admit I have not been up there in at least 10 years.  New Hope always had some great spots and Lambertville and Frenchtown also had some lovely spots

Dilly's Corner, just north of New Hope has a great cheeseburger!  Ms OC likes the fish sandwich.  (I doubt if the prices on Hollyeats are valid)

Try the The Swan Bar in Lambertville.  One side is a bar with a great area to sit and chill and grab some great food.  Try the Mash Potato Flatbread Pizza or the Burger with a sunnyside up egg. Awesome!  The other side is an upscale menu with a great menu of local ingredients, this is called Anton's at The Swan.  Located at Main & Swan Streets in Lambertville, NJ.  Go on a Thurs, Fri or Sat for a fun time at the bar.

There are several places on Gay st...the main drag named long before now.  Iron Hill Brewery is really good for burgers, etc.   Way down at the far end of the one way start, there is a lovely little family run pasta place.  It's all you can get ... but  about 10 different types of pasta and a dozen or more sauces, all freshly made.  It's BYOB

About 5 miles south of WC on rte 202(almost to route 1) is Jimmy John's hotdogs....not the same as the chain of subs! Good dogs, lots of nostalgia (opened in 1940.big fire about 5 yrs ago, but totally re-built)

I would second Jimmy John's.  The crispest casing dog I ever had.  They are a bit unusual, short and fat, but they are tasty!
