(I hate me when I lose all my inhibitions) I wish! Sadly, it is raspberry ice cream with marshmallows that looks like a smurf because of the blue and white coloring. But I just pretend it is smurfette

Mashed potatos, rich beef gravy, sprinkling of bits of bacon, garlic chives, fresh cracked black pepper, and maybe a few deeply carmalized onion slices on the side. What? I've never had a sweet tooth.

jvsmom A cherry sundae from Shady Glen in CT. We returned to the great Shady Glen last month for ice cream and while en route to Maine. Pure heaven -- and a step back in time with the paper-hatted and bowtied waitstaff. Loved the Butter Crunch ice cream. Pretty darn near perfection.

No one serves my favorite, so I have to make it at home. A couple of scoops of vanilla frozen custard topped with real maple syrup and toasted chopped pecans or walnuts. (No bacon.)

I had forgotten about maple syrup over ice cream or custard. Mom used to serve that. Will have to revisit that with the addition of nuts!

A Dusty Road from Eddie's Sweet Shop in Forest Hills, Queens. Three scoops of ice cream. Think I'll go with vanilla, chocolate and butter pecan, hot fudge sauce (warmed up, natch), roasted salted peanuts, plenty of malt powder, real whipped cream and a cherry on top. And a huge, Mongo-sized glass of ice water!

Custard or ice cream with just the maple syrup puts a smile on my face, too. I use vanilla Haagen or Ben & Jerry's for it, too, but I have this special love for frozen custard. My dad made it when I was a kid, but I didn't discover the maple syrup until adulthood. Fresh fruit like peaches, bananas and blueberries work well on that sundae, also.

Don't have a favorite place but I like two scoops of chocolate ice cream, caramel sauce, marshmallow sauce, whipped cream and lots of nuts.

Kimballs in Littleton Mass. Vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream no nuts. Orrrrrrr a Kimballs special. Any flavor ice cream you want strawberry ,pineapple and hot fudge sauce with tons of whipped cream. If you want the banana you get a banana split. Can be shared its so big.
