Buns and Dogs

From the AuCoin Report: Hot dog! A big victory for the outdoor cookout was announced last week. CBS News in Chicago reported that Vienna Beef company and the company that bakes S. Rosen buns have each agreed to package the same quantity -- eight -- in each package. Previously, wieners were sold in packs of eight while buns came in packs of 6 or 12. Because of this, according to a company news release, more than 2 million buns are wasted every year.

I am partial to Kayem natural casing franks. A bonus is that they come 6 to a package. If one were bored enough to look up my old posts, you would see that I used to like the Jordan's natural casing hotdogs from Maine. They still look the same, and are in the same place at the store, but they don't seem as good now that they are made elsewhere. My old buns never went to waste, at least in the opinion of my sheep. Whenever we are grilling, they come to the fence and beg.

Split buns around here are hard to find, so with the standard dog bun, one must do what one must! Thus the prefered 10/1.. (Ya, it's still messy, but I get all my toppings in the bun for the most part)..
