Burger King In the 90s? Thu, 11/15/07 11:19 PM (permalink)
I would say they were at their peak back in the 90s. Remember when they started to brand themselves as a Family Dining Resturant with the Big Food Baskets and Everything? What about the BKKC? The original Fries recipe?

I remember them back to the early 70's, when it really did take two hands to handle a whopper, and the fish sandwich was deservedly called a whaler -- it was huge. I liked them then, but something about them now does not fill me with confidence, don't feel I can trust the cleanliness, or the quality of the food.

But locally they stay open until 2:00 AM, and the other night I was hard up and hungry at 1:45, so I ordered two whopper juniors at a buck apiece. Danged if they weren't pretty good.

I still like their original chicken sandwich too, but not at all sure about what's in it.
