Burger King Rant and Question

Hi, all, I just had a HORRIBLE experience at Burger King (I know, my fault for going there in the first place....) And I just went to their website to write to customer service about it, and, guess what? "Email correspondence is not accepted". Unless I'm missing something, there's no easy way to make a complaint to them! OK. I guess I'll go see if they have a toll free number....just curious...has anyone else had this experience with BK (or other fast food places)?

We had a very bad experience with Logan's Roadhouse (not ff but a chain none the less) There was an e-mail form on their website that I used to explain the situation. I received a phone call within 48-72 hours and a written apology plus a gift card within a week. They handled the situation very well. Can't imagine why BK wouldn't have something but a lot of companies simply don't use e-mail.

1-800-YES-1800 used to be their complaint number, but DO NOT call it anymore. Some scammers bought the number and when you now call they tell you to call some other overseas number with a charge on it. At the back of BK receipts is their "Satisfaction Line" number - 1-866-425-4745. Last time I used it they gave you an opportunity to leave a message after asking you a million questions. Then you get a code for some free food.

On the contact page are several phone numbers; corporate, consumer relations and consumer help desk. There is also an address. All this above the no email communication notice you saw.

And now it actually makes it almost feel like a good experience. My sister had a similar experience at Houlihans. It was not very busy, but it was towards the end of the night. She really got ignored. She finally was able to track down a manager, and he gave her a complete comp. for the whole family to use next time. It really helped make the wrong "right"

It really helped make the wrong "right" When it comes to making a complaint, its always the best to go to the manager and/or district manager. Writing a letter is good too ( as long as it is signed and has an address to it where the restaurant can contact the person with the complaint ). Phone calls somewhat but emails? Well if the email is from a hotmail/yahoo account, many of times its difficult to take that email seriously. Anyone could have sent it whether its someone who really did have a complaint or someone like an angry ex-employee who wants to stir up trouble. Where I used to work at, whenever we got a complaint by email and if it came from Hotmail, well the delete feature was always used.

LOL Some have stopped using e-mail except for internal communication. Unfortunately the viability of e-mail has been greatly impacted by the spammers, scammers, phishers etc.
