I've had #16 and it is good, but gosh there are so many others even better these lists are nonsense and I guess are just for fun.

Here's my pick Picco in Larkspur,Ca 4 Mini-Burgers instead of 1 full size somehow makes me feel like less of a pig when gobbling. These are really good.

Oprah so lame. This article is from July 05 and was fully discussed then..Why doesn't she come up with her own list?

I also discussed this topic on my blog, and ever since Oprah mentioned it, there have been a number of hits from a google search on that topic. I am always amazed at how people arrive at one web site from another....must have missed my true techno-geek calling.

I noticed that Kellers in Dallas made the list. I can't remember life before eating a Kellers burger and I'm 58. Maybe its the 50 year old grease on the griddle. Anyway my fav is to order a #5 (double meat w/ special sauce and the standard trimmings) WITH chili! The sauce has a kinda thousand island taste. The car hop will say "oh, you want a double chili burger" but I must then say "no, I want a #5 and add some chili". Messy to eat but MMMMMMM. Jack Keller, the founder, loved to play gin for high stakes and hung around a bar where I used to hustle pool and poker. He was quite an eccentric guy!

The God awfully expensive burger at 21 club in NYC is pretty blasted good. Duck fat added to a burger?...What God made expense accounts for...

I am going to # 7, Buckhorn Burger, next weekend. Maybe I will bring my camera and post some pictures or a review on the place.

LOL... I am trying to find some "organic beef" here in SC. No hormones, no antibiotics, grass fed.
I called one butcher shop and he said "You must be from up north", when asked about it. He said his shop only carries the usual-Angus-
I tell you, once I had that Wolfes Neck Beef, its hard to go back.
And what gets me, I am willing to pay the price.

Tofu burges in Nebraska.. hmm.. isnt that an oxymoron, or something?.. Maybe Politically INCORRECT.. LOL

PS Organic has become a term that is strange at best. Brought to the forefront by small farmers it cannot be used by anyone but medium and large farmers anymore. The certification is too costly for small guys like me. My chickens, pork and produce are organic but I cannot call it that because I let my certification lapse.

The Feds ruined another good thing. The certification was equal in cost to about 1/3 my yearly profit...fairly hefty tax.

Hold the phone! Oprah Windbag, eating beef, or even discussing it? Isn't this the witch, that cattle producers were about ready to linch, over the mad cow scare?

I didn't figure she would even use the word beef, (Or any word connected to it) on her stupid show!
