At risk of bastardizing the adage, that looks like a dog designed by a committee.

What a coincidence!  My dog's name is Yangtze River Number Two, also.

At first glance it looked like a chow that's been off it's prozac and sleeping with the moths. I wonder what it's temperment is like? If it's anything like a chow chow with the physical strength of a mastiff, it's looks would be the last thing I'd be worried about.

According to the article, "the breed is commonly identified as independent, intelligent and very protective of its owners and their property."

I think I recall seeing shag carpeting with that shade and texture about 40 years ago.

While I must admit My first impression was, "What a great dog!!" Then I thought about what the seasonal-shedding would do to our house !! So I guess this one is not for me.

It looks like it could be a stand-in for Bert Lahr in the Wizard of Oz.

Might give a new meaning to "munchkins"...

I used to have a bath mat that looked like that in the 70's

"The 11-month-old, 180-pound pup, aptly named "Hong Dong," meaning "Big Splash" in Chinese,"

I'm glad they provided the translation

And should a woman show up to your place with one of these pups and request to use your sink?

If she had one of these pups, I'd ask her to marry me!
