Butter Rum Lifesavers

I looked on the Lifesavers site so I know they still make them, but I can't find any in San Antonio and I looked at several places (online places have them but you have to buy 12 bags or something and I don't want to do that). Does anyone know of a place that has them in San Antonio and, if not, Dallas or Austin? Are there any places online where you don't have to buy 12 bags? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try this link: http://www.oldtimecandy.com/life-savers.htm According to their website, they have the butter rum lifesavers for only .79 per roll. I've ordered from this company, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Hello All, It's been years since I've seen them, but they were my papa's favorites. He only bought them during hunting season and the winter. I don't know why. I can still see him pulling out a roll from the pocket of his red-plaid hunting coat and offering me one. He might have to toss the one on the end of an open roll because it had pocket fuzz on it. It was a very sweet, comforting flavour when he gave me one. Take Care, Fieldthistle

Butter Rum is my Mom's favorite Lifesaver flavor and they're my favorite, too. She told me that when she was growing up in the '30's or '40's, her Mother wouldn't let her have that flavor since I guess it was thought they really had Rum in them and they were tee-totaling Methodists.

What about Butterscotch Life Savers? There was such an animal at one time...I even remember the wrapper--tan colored with an "X" design.

timduncan - I am so sorry, that I didn't get back with you on this, but I honestly forgot. I bought a 6.25 oz. bag of Butter Rum Life Savers yesterday at the store I was telling you about. They were $1.59 per bag and the bag has about 25-30 in it. They also sell the rolls fo4 $.59 ea. I will be glad to send to you either the bag or rolls or both. Whichever you want. Just let me know. I ate the whole bag in less than 24 hours!

I must be old. I remember buying Lifesaver rolls for a nickel. Choc-o-Mint is my favorite decommissioned flavor.
