Sunday Morning does wonderful profiles... They did a fabulous one yesterday on a fellow who made these great stone walls, and I know they will do CSD and HotDogU justice , too!
..and if you see two 11 year old boys in Chicago Bears coats ordering Big Wally hot dogs, those are my twins...
One almost ate the whole thing...
The other was bested by the dog!

That is my favorite show and a Sunday ritual for me. I will not call my Mom or walk my dogs until the show is over. With Bill Giest, it means they are saving the best segment for last.
After their silent nature minute is over, I can go on with the rest of the day.

BTW, it's their annual "Eat, Drink & Be Merry" show all about food (appropriate
before Thanksgiving)...last year, Mr. Geist was hunting for the place (amid the
southern Illinois cornfields) famous for grilled cheeseburgers which packs 'em
in for lunch!

Our Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel TV & Radio critic, Tim Cuprisin, might not have geography as his strong suit but he did have this blurb in today's column:

• Correspondent Bill Geist gets some learning at Milwaukee's Hot Dog University on this weekend's "CBS Sunday Morning," at 9 a.m. on Channel 58. It's a special show focusing on food.

NOTE: Cuprasin also seems to the time wrong; CSD informs me the show airs at 8:00am CST.

Will be watching sunday, have followed your post here on Roadfood and always wanted to try one of your Chicago Style Dogs, but being on the east coast it's a little far for a hot dog, even a grat one!!!

Thanks, MFL. Sunday Morning CBS airs at 8:00am CST. The show is 90 minutes and I don't know the exact air time of the Hot Dog University story. Bill Geist's segment is generally later in the broadcast.

Bill Geist is almost always on in the last half hour of the show but since it is a whole show devoted to "Eat, Drink & Be Merry" I doubt any of us, since we are Roadfooders, will be gambling on that fact and probably will watch the whole 90 minutes.
