Cable Modem!

Well, I gave up on the DSL and decided to go with a cable modem. And boy, this is great!! LOL Bring on the 56K warning pics.  It's so much better than SLOW dial-up; I just wish I hadn't waited so long to make the change. Oh well, thanks for the support from everyone, esp. pamelak. I had the cable modem installed, thankfully. -tarragon

Wow! I just moved into the 90s with DSL and it's kind of like when I got my first dishwasher. A good friend just went to cable FIOS. She says, "it's Comcastic!"

I went from dial up to cable years ago. I didn't even consider DSL because it wasn't (and still isn't) available in my area. I bought my own modem to quit paying those insane monthly "rental" charges. Also, for those on cable modems, you need to now consider going to a VoIP phone. I LOVE mine.
