Outside of Cabool, Missouri, just north of the US-60/63 interchange, is what I think is an old motel that might have a barbecue stand attached. I can't remember the name for sure but I think it has only 1 syllable...Mike's? Scott's? Ron's? Totally escapes me at the moment. I drive by once a year and I don't think it's ever been open, but I'm usually not going by at prime barbecue time (Sunday morning). Is anyone familiar with this place and able to comment on its status? I'll definitely have the camera ready for it this year. Thanks! Brad

I drive past it a couple of times a year, also. Have never stopped, and I'm not sure I've ever seen it open. Sure is a ramshackle-looking building.

The name is "Mike's Crossroads BBQ" and it's part of the Bel-Nor Motel. We went past it Wednesday afternoon about 5 and Saturday afternoon before 3, but I didn't see any kind of an "Open" sign so I'm thinking it might not be open. Brad

I asked a friend from up there about it a week ago, and he asked around. Turns out the guy moved his business to Mountain Grove. Don't know when, but the Cabool place is closed.

Thanks for the update. I'll make a note of it for the next time I head down that way. Brad
