Cajun Boil in Wisconsin!

Well, I never thought I would be making this post, but here it goes. This past weekend my husband and I had the opportunity to do a fall ride with the Centurians Motorcycle Club. A few of the guys in the club are regulars at our bar & grill and they invited us along. It was a very unseasonably warm 85 degrees on Saturday so we decided to take them up on the offer. The ride itself was great, winding through the backroads of SW Wisconsin. But the real roadfood experience happened after the ride. We headed back to the clubhouse for their annual Cajun Boil. This was our first experience with the Cajun Boil but it won't be the last!

The crawfish and other shellfish were boiling when we got there

The guys in the club draining the pots

Let the smorgasbord commence

A bowl of cajun delight with crawfish, muscles, oysters, and potatoes

One happy eater playing with her food

Needless to say it was a great day and a great meal. Definitely a treat we don't get very often in Wisconsin. I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed the experience!

Mr. Mayor, from a previous post, OP Kirsby and her husband have a place in New Glarus Wisconsin that should be in easy range of Baraboo.
