Nancy! Now I'll have to stop at the Spudnuts in West LA. I can never buy just one. Donald, how fresh do you think they'd be if I overnighted a box to you? I'd be happy to do it.

A Mr. Richard Gardner put up a page about Spudnuts, and it gives an as-is, where-is list of open Spudnuts shops. The page states the parent company went out of business" http://spudnutshop.com/

I couldn’t stand it anymore. I had to take the long way to work stopping at the corner of Venice and Sawtelle in West Los Angeles. This is where I stopped: The owners were quite nice and answered all questions while letting me take pictures. Everything except for the French Cruelers are still made with potato flour. I’ve never seen twist so large. I had a chocolate cake, glazed twist and a cinnamon roll. I have to force myself to not go back.

The cinnamon rolls were pretty. From a newbie's perspective, I thought they had a slightly salty-sweet taste that I wasn't expecting. They were really lovely. /me claps for Marlene
