Greg: I suggest: http://www.cnet.com/ They give you all the info you need. They also list many mfgs and their prices. They also explain the differences with all the TV's and they give you their opinion. I have been using them for years. I took their advice and bough a 36 inch Panasonic Plasma. They rated it the highest. I bought mine at HHGregg for $1498. Same price as Walmart. You can buy them cheaper through CNET but I had a credit there. I have having a blast with the high definition. 20"? 10 hours a month? i'd go with a std lcd model. i have a 40" hdtv in my bedroom but my office is there also and I have it on news, weather or sports 20 hours a day. i have a 20" lcd in my living room. i only watch tv there about 5-10 hours a month so i saw no need to spend the cash on an expensive set for that room.

I have three TV's in the house and I never turn them off. CNET is currently indicating plasma over LCD. I bought Plasma and I am very happy. I also have one on the dock and I may put one on the deck. I park my TV's on CNN headlines. although I am not happy with their current political agenda. High definition is a hoot and really neat to watch. I like MOJO a lot. Paul E. Smith knoxville, TN

We just bought a lovely new flatscreen but due to inept installation (various members of the family), we are now back to using FOUR(4 -- count 'em -- 4) remotes. I could just SCREAM.

Remotes are an issue that I have a problem with. With my new Panasonic HDTV plasma, I have to use two remotes. One for Comcast and one for volume. I cannot understand that. Reception is super though. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

I refuse to buy any new TV. It doesn't matter if it's plasma, LCD or CRT. If you must buy a new set, I would wait. If the switch to digital comes (I have my doubts about the date), I think the prices will start to fall. For now, I'll take my tube sets over the junk they pass of as television recievers today. When the time comes, I'll get a converter. For me, there's nothing like watching Archie on a set I restored. I am biased. I collect old TV sets and restore them. If you wish to see my collection, I proudly contaminate the WWW. www.geocities.com/evilfurnaceman

Big Dave... Halicrafters! lol.. haven't seen one of them in ages! I'm more for the HDTV nowdays.. Played around for years with tube sets, and to say I'm thankful not being knocked over by B+ (Plate and Cathode) voltage anymore would be an understatement. Sad thing is that these new TV's (even LCD) consume about as much power as them old tube types now.. Sort of went backwards on energy conservation.. 73
