I love Mexican food. As an American living in Denmark, a good Mexican place is hard to find! I really miss corn tortillas, bagels, jack cheese and hot dog buns that open (you have to cut them here). I was just thinking there must be others in my situation and I thought we could commiserate... or maybe you just moved from one end of the country to another what do you miss? Or, what have you found in your new environment you have never tried before?

I miss a really good hot dog. I can live with having to cut the bun but if there is nothing good to put in it, why bother. Although fairly good sausage's are available from Australia and the Brits, I really miss the good old pennsylvania bolognas, scrapple, and other assorted goodies as well as the baked goods. Living in the Philippines does present some good foods however. The old standards such as pancit, lumpia and assorted adobo's are quite tasty. Although balut is quite popular, I myself have never been that hungry yet. Today being Ney Year's eve, we will be having a "lechon" which is a roast pig and I am sure other assorted goodies that I really do not know what it is but it usually tastes good. Happy New Year to all.
