Campbell's discontinued Frozen Soup!

http://www.metnews.com/articles/2005/reminiscing062305.htm

Since we're into Campbell's soup on so many threads...and why not we all grew up on it various times in the last century...
Just noticed this on the web....Does anyone remember these Frozen soups??? I must have totally missed them. Were they any good. Seems to me, a frozen soup would have more potential than a condensed or other canned soup!!!

The frozen soups I have tried so far have been pretty disappointing, though I have never even seen the frozen Campbell's. I too thought that frozen must be better than canned or dried, but so far I haven't found anything to prove it to me, though there must be a great frozen soup somewhere!

Oh, wow - I can remember seeing the frozen Cream of Shrimp and Cream of Oyster soups but I'm sure Mom never bought it because we never ate seafood of any kind - (once I discovered boiled shrimp and raw oysters there's been no looking back).

It's odd to me that now we have multitudes of frozen foods, but I can't think of any frozen soups.

There are frozen soups at my local A&P and Shoprite here in NY - Tabatchnick's Kosher in a number of varieties - but no shrimp or oysters!

I remember the frozen Campbell's soups. I think they still make some of them in institutional sizes. The oyster stew was wonderful.

I would vouch for the frozen shrimp soup although I have not had it in many, many years.

Sorry, it's before my time. I do remember in the late 80's or early 90's, I think it was Campbells, had a frozen soup that came with a sandwich. I remember having the tomato soup with a grilled cheese. It all went in the microwave. I also remember some kid's show about the enviorment showing the meals and how much waste they made- the box, the tray, the bowl, the cellophane, etc... They dissapered soon after that. I'll have to look it up, because it's going to bug me now!
