I do not believe the article or anyone here said to throw buckets of cash at any/every young person. Some young people can run circles around some seasoned adults because they are smarter than them!!! Math skills. Communication skills (including written skill). Food? Many people have worked hard in this industry for years and that alone does not qualify them for anything. If some lost the number to Sysco they would be lost. The baggage and resentment that comes along with simply doing something the same way for a long time....means many are very resistant to any change because they have been at it so long... they feel they are beyond learning anything new and need not be told that something they are doing is wrong...even when it is wrong. Saving face and being stubborn vs. being smart motivated and not set in their ways falling backwards because the business may have flown by them while they were in one place paying their dues.
