Does anyone remember these ? My mother used to serve these with hot grits for breakfast when I was a child...

I have a can of Praiire Belt Smoked Sausage in my pantry. Had a very tasty dish in South Carolina made with these sausage and rice. I have searched the world wide web trying to find a recipe similar. I make a chicken bog that is close, but not as good as I remember.
