Carl's Jr.is back in town

They just opened up the new Carl's Jr.on Nacogdoches Road in San Antonio, and they have one on FM78 and Ritterman as well as on I37 South. I remember when they were quite a few here and they were pretty good. I think they left or sold their locations here to Burger King,it was in the paper at the time. It's been like 10 years or so since they were here. Has anyone eaten there lately, and did you like the food?

Carl's Jr. Back in the 80's and early 90's my FIL was the electrical contractor on 30 some of his stores in Calif. I worked my days off and holidays and most any spare time I had helping him wire the stores. I met Carl 3 or 4 times and always liked him. If you ever travel I-5 thru Kettleman City in Calif. that is the 1st Carl's I ever worked on. That and the hotel across the street. That hotel was done before I ever married Picky Peggy. 30 some years ago. We also did 3 stores in Fresno and 1 in Clovis. I was a licensed electrician in Calif. Now I just do some work on the side for friends and neighbors. Out here we don't have Carl's but have Hardee's. They are corporate cousins. I rarely eat there, too many better places.

Although not as good as INO, I stilL do like to eat their Famous Star whenever I travel to the left coast. They have opened up several in the Denver area in the past couple of years. QFan Bonita Springs, FL

I ate there just the other day. The $1.29 big burger is excellent, as is the $.99 Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Lots of Specialty burgers and Chicken stuff. Is it also a Green Burrito?

I am not sure if I can say, that they are better or worse, than In-And-Out; I can say, I always get great burgers at the places I visit here is suburban Sacramento. In fact, I had a great one, in Vacaville CA, with my daughter, on our way to Mountainview, for a Jimmy Buffet concert. Yumm. Mouth watering! [;)

Carl's Jr.'s are rare in Texas. I've eaten at one at a truckstop in Anna, TX and they burn a decent burger.
