Carrabba's lentil soup Tue, 02/12/08 12:50 AM (permalink)
My favorite thing about Carrabba's Italian Grill is their Lentil soup..made with lots of Italian sausage. I get a bowl of this spicey concotion every time we go to this chain in Brick,NJ.
My wife with a little experimenting can duplicate it exactly, and it's a family favorite. We even duplicate the Italian bread and olive oil dipping!
Growing up in the 50's,my Italian mom made a great lentil soup too. It's a great soup for a cold winter day...don't forget the crisp Italian bread!

I thought this post was mostly about a soup type.My point was I rediscovered the lentil soup of my youth at the chain...and now my wife makes it for our family!!!As I said it's a great soup for the winter! Sorry if this was posted in the wrong forum...but the point stands...lentil soup(try it with the sausage) is a great winter soup!!!!! I wanted people thinking about soup to read this, not necessarily thinking about another restaurant chain topic.
