Changing locations

Mostly just lurk here, but have a question now. Does anybody with a HD cart change location during the week. I have what i conceder one bad day a week, mostly wed.slow but break even or more depends on the time of month (no pun intended). Have been approached about setting up in a whole different town. They have very few options for lunch and the people that come to my cart from there are here to pick-up materials for their shops. They are always, almost begging for me to go down there. Just hate to leave my regulars. But 4 good days here and a 20 mile trek to find out location would not work. Only choice there is Sonic and very few convience stores(roller dogs). Even smaller town than here. Probally just hesitant of breaking the strings.

Hey Curby! I am on a 3 location schedule at this time. Two times a week in uptown Charlotte, two times a week in the University city area, and one day a week at the Charlotte school of law. It could nat be a better setup. Here's the deal, you are not leaving your regs completely, just one day a week. You are merely making a business decision that any normal human would recognize. If you go to this other spot, you become a scheduled specialty lunch and will probably blow the doors off a day that you have been merely scraping by. Chili Man says DO IT!

Give it a try, might be worth it. See if you are missed at old location that day too. I have my 3 towns all situated along one major road, I move every day up and down that road (its how the permitting here works) and took wednesday off to tend to some personal stuff, thursday people were all excitied they couldnt find me any where. If these other people asked you to go there, I would take the risk at least one day.

Consider setting up a web site so customers always know where you are.

Spud and chiliman took some advice and changed things a little. Made up some fliers Sunday and took them down to some businesses Monday morning. Came back and did reg. lunch. Well today went back down there for lunch and kicked butt. Decided to stay here m-w-f and down there t-r. See what happens with regulars tomorrow.
