Cheaper than ads???

As a non restaurant owning businessman, I often look for the reasons that places do well or don't. In the quest for the all important first visit, coupons are now all the rage, especially half price deals like Groupon (tm?) Yesterday we stopped at Mulinos in Northampton, Mass, at my daughter's request. We would never have found it otherwise. We were there before 6 so qualified for the early bird. They have a ten for $10 menu , but they do it for $5 before 6. You have to buy a drink so I would call it $7.50. The food was above average for a mid price Italian restaurant, and the special price should create some buzz. The actual cost to the restaurant is less than 1/2 off coupons, and I'll be back at regular prices. www.mulinosrestaurant.com

I am a firm believer in that if you food is good, portions are adequate, friendly accomodating atmosphere, and your prices are fair, one does not need a coupon or sales gimmick. This is just my opinion. Just make good food!
