In the Louisville area (and if I remember correctly out in SoCal also) The Rally's had  drive-thru or outside walk-up window service only. (No inside seating or rest-rooms) They do have shade-covered picnic tables at all of the ones we have visited here in Indiana. I don't remember enough about the SoCal stores as we only visited a couple of them.

That's what Checkers is here.  The public can't go inside...in fact, I'm not entirely sure how the employees get in.  Rally's was sit-down, but also had a drive-thru.  I don't believe either of them have walk-up...that's frowned upon here.

The Checkers in Bay Shore, NY is one of the only Checkers I know that has inside seating. I know at one point, it was the only Checkers to have inside seating, but I'm not sure if they still do.

As for their food, it's hit or miss. Their fries are easily the best menu item.

At my local Rally's on Dixie Hwy in Louisville, there are outside tables AND inside eating...like 5-6 booths...nothing fancy, just a place to eat. Only open until 10pm most night...the drive thru is open at least until midnight.

Neither of the Rally's on our side of the river. 10th st in Jeff. or L & C Prkwy in Clarksville have any indoor seating. 6 or 8 picnic tables outside, some with sunshades, at both. I don't recall seeing any indoor seating at the Preston Hwy Rally's either.

Burgers from Rally’s always tasted rancid to me. I’ve only tried them two or three times, but that was enough. In fact, I recall once ordering a mushroom/swiss burger there…taking one bite…then feeding the rest to my dog. Was so gross I couldn’t eat it. Rascal seemed to like it though. I also remember a roommate of mine getting hot dogs there and not being able to finish them either. This was in Bloomington, IN…so maybe it was just that location…

That said, I can't see myself going back. I really don't like fast food and IMO Rally's is mediocre at best.

When I want a fried fish sandwich, on the spur of the moment while out running errands, I head to  Checkers for their double fish sandwich which I think is really good.

                Mayor Al...

Just went to that particular Rally's last night...on Dixie Hwy just down from Valley High School...saw 2 guys eating their "Big Buford's" inside...like i said its really small...mostly looks like an afterthought...maybe they have seating because of the HS clsoe by...kids can walk to this Rally's easily...
