CheeseSteaks in Connecticut

I was reading the forum on the best Cheesesteak, and got to thinking - why does the Philly/South Jersey area get all the attention for these beauties? I was stationed with the Navy in Philly, so I've had Pat's/Jim's/Geno's, along with a bunch of the less well known neighborhood establishments. Now, 20 years later, I've been back to Philly, and had them since, but it's kind of a haul from Hartford, Ct to Philly for a samich. Does anyone know of a place in Connecticut that has a good (respectable?) CheeseSteak? BTW: I live in Newington, Ct, and have had Doogies 'cheesesteak', and I thought it sucked. If he has the 'Best Cheesesteak outside of Philly', then I guess I'll be passing through the City of Brotherly Love next time I go South.

D'Angelo's make a decent Cheesesteak.....they aren't as good as the real thing, but if you close your eyes and pretend.... Smitty
