Cherry Crush

I use to drink it all the time in the Northeast but can't find any red cherry soda in the south.

I'm nearly sure I keep seeing this here in Canada, must try it sometime.

Edit:  I have seen it here, just googled to see what the bottle looked like, I've seen the grape and orange flavours too.

I have gotten Red Cherry Crush, Orange Crush, and Grape Crush in stores in Colorado for as long as I can remember. It might have something to do with the Orange Crush connection and the Denver Bronco defensive line of the 1977-78 team that went to the Superbowl.
I can only find Orange Crush here in Wasilla, AK.

They sell all three kinds of Crush at some specialty italian shop close by and my wife surprised me with a case of Orange Crush bottles and to be honest, it wasnt all that I remembered it to be. I really didnt like it compared to other orange sodas. Oh well. If only they'd bring back mandarin orange Slice.

I just got Orange and Grape Crush on sale at Walgreen's.  I believe that Pepsi has purchased the company or there is some type of affilation because the sale called for 3-8 can (12 oz) packs for whatever the price was..I think it was $5?  Anyway, it was being offered under the Pepsi sale price for the same cost.

I looked on the package to see if it was now owned by Pepsi (Fanta has some affiliation with Coke) and I couldn't find any.  Maybe someone else knows more about this.  Crush soda is great.  The flaovr is great.

There is a (another?) famous cherry soda in the South..Not Crush Cherry.  It's  called Cheerwine?  I had it in Greenville, SC.  I wasn't crazy about it.  It is made in NC..Since 1917.  There is a website cheerwine.com.  I could not find out if they use natural cane sugar.  We had a bbq sauce made with it, too.

Cheerwine does not use cane sugar UNLESS you can find glass bottle Cheerwine from West Jefferson Bottling.  They make Cheerwine with Cane Sugar.  Food Lion has or had Cheerwine ice cream.

Pepsi does not own Crush, it is a product of Dr Pepper Snapple Group. Pepsi has picked up distribution rights for Crush in most of the USA.

Fanta is owned by Coca Cola.

Ynotryme, do you not like Big Red?  You live in Texas: Big Red country, for sure.  A friend and I were obsessed with Cherry Fanta for the longest time, but it slowly disappeared from shelves and fountains.  I've seen Strawberry Crush here and there but not Cherry...  Chris

drpep - THANK YOU!  That explains why the sale included Crush in a Pepsi sale..I love Crush!

Hey I want to ask you a question.  You seem to know a lot about the subject.  There is this new push for gourmet sodas made with pure cane sugar.  I tried them recently and literally felt sick to my stomach.  I really wonder if this is a more common than expected reaction?  I mean, I really did not like it and it upset my stomach.

    Thanks for any info.

I found this on the web.  Don't know if it's worth anything, but it couldn't hurt to check it out:

(Later in the day) Having examined it with care, I'd say this is the place to go if you want to have your Cherry Crush fix--and any other flavor Crush makes as well.

It also looks to be a good source for those who want their soft drinks with only cane sugar.

West Coast Folks can look forward to an increased supply of the various Dr Pepper/Snapple products in the near future. A huge bottling plant broke-ground near Victorville, CA recently. In addition to the usual run of Dr Pepper and Snapple flavors, Crush products are on the list for this bottling facility.

I don't know about sodas made with pure cane suger making someone sick to their stomach but I know people have found it hard to believe that as a big Dr Pepper fan Dublin Dr Pepper (made with cane sugar) does not agree with my taste buds.

I'm not sure how the deal with Pepsi will affect Crush. I read that the 6 pack glass bottles found in many Walmarts (grape, orange and strawberry) will not be affected and I've also read that the bottles shown the website in the quoted post have  disappeared from the Indianapolis area and were replaced with Nehi.

Here in the middle of California, Crush has always been available to us in Orange, Grape, and Strawberry, but I've never seen Cherry Crush..didn't even know it existed...but I'd love to try it.   I love a good fruit flavored soda.  We used to have a regional company called Calandra that made nearly every flavor one could imagine.  It sadly went out of business about 30 years ago.

The Crush selection in Canada differs from what is found in the USA. I'm not sure who has bottling and distribution rights there. I've noticed Canada has a larger variety of flavors.

I can remember 20 years ago in NC Crush came in grape, orange, strawberry and for a brief while pineapple. I have never seen cherry but would love to taste it.

Our Walmart here in Southern Indiana does stock the standard three flavors Orange, Grape and Strawberry in 6 packs of glass bottles.

Crush came back to Denver right before the Super Bowl.  Only flavors are orange, grape and strawberry.  I bought the orange for our superbowl party for nostalgia's sake.  It was way too sweet and just didn't taste the same as I remember; probably back in my day there was real sugar in it.

I've seen Cherry 7-Up Antioxidant advertised on TV but I'm still waiting for it to arrive in my store to try it.
