Does anybody have comments on Cherry Mash, made by the Chase Candy Co in St Joe, MO? I cannotr get them here in TN, nor have I seen them in OH, so I do not know how wide their distribution is. More info: www.cherrymash.com

Those and Valomilks were the signature candy bars of the KC area. My friend sends me some from time to time, but the cherry middle is so sweet it makes my teeth hurt. I always loved the wrapper because I don't think the design has been changed since the '30's.

I see them here and there in Texas, but not as much as when I was growing up. They were my mothers favorite. I am like Bill, could only eat a small amount of the inside as it was so sweet. They definitly have a taste all their own!

I ordered some from Hometown Favorites because I had heard about them on the Food Network. I thought that the cherry center was way too strong. I really didn't care for them. But as least I tried them.
There is lots of other candy that I would choose before them.

Valomilks are much better. Chocolate cups filled with liquidy marshmallow.

Cup of Gold, which I believe was made by the Hoffman Candy Co out of Los Angeles was also a very good bar -- I thought better than the Valomilk, and certainly easier to eat. But the Cherry Mash is a great bar. Hoffman nmade a bar very similar to it, though I cannot recall the name.
