I haven't seen a thread or this place listed and I am surporised. I've never had a better sub than from this place. It's on Central Ave near Addison....anyone know of it?

I've never been there but I should try it. Most people I know who like Subs in Chicago swear by Potbellies. There's one around the block from me and the line is always out the door at lunch time. I've been there a few times but never really found it that fantastic. Does anyone else have a view on Potbellies?

Had an Italian from potbellys flying out of Midway Airport. It was great considering most airport food is godawfull, but I wouldn't drive far to get one. However I would fly to philly just for an Italian Hoagie with sharp provolone and roasted peppers.

Not a huge fan of Potbelly's. I haven't been to Bob-O-Rinos for many years but to this day I still haven't had a better sub. The generous portions, especially on the Italian, is a rare find out by where I'm at now.

Been to the Potbelly's in Old Orchard a couple of times. It's good, but in a formulaic/franchise kind of way. Certainly not as enjoyable as any number of other sandwich shops that are around (I don't even consider that ho-hum place where Jared ate turkey sandwiches everyday for years to be worthy of a mention). Go into any italian grocery/deli and more than likely you can get a fantastic sandwich made with really fresh ingredients.

Subs? Bob-o-Rino's has always been great (though I haven't been there in a few years). Fontano's (various city & suburban locations), Cap'n Nemo's (City, Buffalo Grove & Winnetka), Famo's (Glenview/Northbrook @ Sanders & Milwaukee) are the best that currently come to mind.
