We have been very lucky to have found a bunch of good Porterhouse Cuts with our last purchase of Beef 'on sale' at the local market. We had one a couple of nights ago that weighed in at 3.25 lbs, making a very large filet for Janet and a Huge Strip for me (that I couldn't finish at one meal, but did after a late-nite tidbit snack!) We even used a Cleaver to bisect the T-Bone to give equal shares to the Scotties.
Total $18.50 for the meat. Served at Home with a minimum of 'fuss' !
