Yep, they both ate some Russ.

A variation of Russ's recipe;

Chili Beans and Weenies

3 19 0z. cans of Wolf Brand

3 cans of Ranch Style Original flavor

3 packs sliced John Morrell jumbos, my favorite cheep dog, nothing like BarS. This makes for lots of weenies in the mix.

Just mix, heat, and eat.

Optional toppings, chopped onions, jalapenos, grated cheddar, Fritos, Tony Chachere's Bold, ketchup. Hmm, maybe I should offer chopped celery?

This feeds 8 not so picky eaters. Depending on the kids present I might use a can of each of the 3 flavors of Ranch Styles.

I have never made this when someone didn't put some ketchup on it.

WARNING!!! Don't use a good natural casing hot dog for this stuff! That might be a crime in some states.

And... believe it or not, this dish gets requested at my house.
Joe

    A definite beans in your chili dog is shown here from Tennessee. Not a dog you want to chow down driving down the road..

    Definetly not a drive-and-eat dog!

    Is that a chili dog or chili with hot dog?
