Chinese Strawberry Chicken Norcross GA.

This was back in 1988-89 when we lived and worked in the Norcross area of Ga. There was a Chinese Restaurant there that served Strawberry Chicken. It was like a sweet and sour chicken, but much much better. And I have never seen it anywhere since, and we haved lived in different areas of the U.S. Has anyone had it there or had it anywhere and knows what I am talking about? Or where to get it now???

Twenty years ago, in a Chinese restaurant that no longer exists in Owensboro, Kentucky, I frequently ate a chicken dish that was heavily accented with marischino cherries.

But I've never encountered a Chinese dish with strawberries. However, I encourage this. The wider range and more experimentation with available dishes in this cuisine, the better.

There's a sandwich shop in Nashville that serves what they call a Chinese chicken salad on a bed of greens and strawberries, with a strawberry vinaigrette. It's a nice change up for lunch.

Yes, I had originally searched it too, but the recipes were nothing like the dish at that restaurant. It was more of a thickened strawberry sauce simliar to sweet and sour, no fresh strawberries in it. Served with chicken as is sweet and sour and fried rice. I can't come up with any recipe or restaurant that has this, and I haven't been to Norcross since 89, don't remember the name of the place or even if it's still there. Hoping someone from that area will read this and know what I'm talking about. If it's still there, next time we go to Fl., I would stop!

Kwan's Cuisine, 835 Commercial St. SE in Salem, OR serves Chinese Strawberry Chicken.  It is not on the menu, you have to ask for it.  They also have Mango Chicken.

I've never heard of it. I suspect there are regional variations in standard Chinese-restaurant menus. For example, about 15 years ago I was in Virginia Beach, and the local place had never heard of General Tso's Chicken.
