I went for the 1st time tonight and I liked it. I could choose just what I wanted on my burrito. Kinda like cafeteria style. It was tasty and obviously fresh made. I'll go back.

You're from Fresno. If you liked it, that's good enough for me. Fresno people ain't strangers to good Mexican food. Hence, I'll try one some day.

I'm with you, Mike. It's not Authentic Mexican, but everything seems to be fresh, and one can dictate the preparation of the burrito. The same with Qdoba. Both are new around here, and the first time I went I got more rice than I cared for, but I learned to tell them what to include or leave out, etc.

I like the carnitas. The sweetness of the corn salsa plays well with the pork, then I have them add a thin layer of the hot red salsa. Now that I think of it ,the regular tomato salsa too. All that vegitation makes me feel healthy.

what is all this talk about "authentic" mexican when it comes to CHipotle? (it comes up almost every CHipotle thread) It's a mission style burrito place. No need to bother about it being "authentic mexican." Mission burritos aren't authentic mexican, so no need to make the comparison. It's good food made fresh, nothing frozen, the meats are spiced and grilled on site, the guacamole is made on site, the salsa is made on site, everything is made onsite. It's good fresh food. I'm not sure why people seem to think CHipotle needs to be held to some "authentic mexican" measure, when they sell mission style burritos. Anyway, I tend to order their salads, and their salads are awesome, and knock the socks off of some of the better restaurants around - not as a "mexican salad" just simply as an awesome salad with fresh ingredients.

It's not authentic mexican but it sure beats the hell out of Taco Bell and their ilk. For a very large burrito I paid 8 bucks with tax. It would easily feed two people. enginecapt, I got the carnitas and it was very tasty. Give them a try. Scorereader, I went to the one on the Reston/Herndon border right behind a Chick-Fil-A. If that tells you anything. Right next door was a sandwich shop whose name I forget. It looked very good, I'll have to try it out soon.
