I have found the chipsters that I ate as a child.  They are called Cipsters and can be purchased online at Supermarket Italy.  They are listed under the cookies section but they are definitely not cookies.  They are smaller than the original version and are not quite the melt in your mouth that I remember as a child but overall fairly well.  I hope this helpsl
