Cicada's: If you can't beat them, eat them.

I have to confess:  I have never eaten insects although most of the world does.  According to what I have read, there are 1.2 billion per acre so they must be plentiful particularly on the east coast.  All kinds of recipes are available from cicada ice cream, pizza, quiche and many others.  This may post double as the site is experiencing some issues.  Stephen has been notified.

    I wonder if they survived in the ground during the flooding from Sandy.  They probably did.  My place was under three feet of class 3 flooding and the ants survived.  I see ant hills popping up everywhere.
