I heard someone ( I think it was Scott Sloan on WLW ) raving about a pizza place called Italianette (sp?) in Cincinnati last night. He was going on and on about how great a pie they made. By the time he was done I was resisting the urge to drive down and get one right then. Does anyone know the place, and if so, what do you think. I have to go to Cincinnati on Saturday and may check it out.

Hey, that's not the Truckin' Bozo is it. Anyway, Tristan, I hope you'll give us a full report after you visit the Italianette.

Ive eaten at the Itaianette a few times. Very good pizza and hoagies. Very similar to Angilo's IMO.

I got out to Italianette last night.

Good, not great. Sauce atypical for Cincinnati - not sweet at all, more spicey. Which is a good thing. Crust is pretty thick, with no crust variations even mentioned on the menu, the pizza gets most of it's character from the thick dough.

Probably worth another visit, as the waitress told me after I had eaten that what they could do was take a dough portion for a smaller pizza and rooll it out to the size of the larger pizza, producing a very thin crust. She says she gets requests for that on occasion. That's what I'll do next time, whenever that is.

I didn't make it to Italianette when I was in Cincinnati the other day. I was in Mason and then the Tri County Mall and I forgot where they were located so decided to forgo it this trip. Ate at Chipolte's which I think are very good burritos. I work on Indianapolis' hispanic westside, so I have had many good burritos from the little storefront stands and I think Chipoltes measures up fine to some of the best of those. After dinner, went next door to Graeters for their fantastic black raspberry chocolate chip. This is one place I wish Cincinnati would export to Indy.

Sounds good TJ. I'll take you to Workingman's Friend for the ultimate double cheeseburger.

Italianette is some darn good za in this humble mans opinion.
                    unique.
I listened to the 700wlw show that night as well, several friends called me to tell me to turn it on.

for those traveling up/down i-75 stop in bowling green ohio, turn left, drive just past their campus, park, eat at myles
