There's a ghost town (YAY!) in Texas named Grit. It's near Honey Creek.

I only know polenta...

Creole cream cheese sounds like it would be nice on a bagel...too!

I like COLD Mentos. They crack in half instead of being chewy.

There's a woman here in NYC who runs a seasonal NOLA-inspired Sno-Ball shop called Imperial Woodpecker Sno-Balls with flavors such as Creole Cream Cheese, Bananas Foster, Hurricane, Mardi Gras King Cake and Praline.  Really good stuff!!

Very cool Billyboy!

I have to go to Sigmund Pretzel Shop on Friday...and Gansevoort is a good walk from there. If the weather is nice...it's a Sno-Balll for Lunch!

CC, give Imperial Woodpecker a call before you go.  I seem to remember that the owner had mentioned to me in an email that they didn't have a B & M location this summer but that may have changed.

Here's their flavor board:

My girlfriend tried their Mardi Gras King Cake flavor which she didn't like (too sweet for her) but I loved it and they really nailed color as well as the King Cake taste.

And I had the Tiger's Blood flavor (strawberry syrup and coconut with sweetened condensed milk on top).  These are only the small sizes.  The people at the table next to us had gotten the large size in a Chinese takeout conatainer and it looked far too daunting for me to even attempt!

They are really pretty...and that serving looks like a good size!

Tiger's Bllood sounds delicious ...now that you explained it.

Mardi Gras King Cake. Sip for the prize...sip for the prize.

Are you a Foofoosayer...or do you know Smirnoff?

That could easily be the future foo-foo vodka All-Star line-up!

All it needs is Skittles vodka to be Mecca...

Considering the fact that Columbus is often called Cowtown, perhaps Jeni Britton Bauer could come out with a fresh manure flavor.

MH, some ice cream shops in the Adirondack Mountains, have "Moose Tracks" ice cream and some in Maine have "Caribou Tracks".  How about a "Cow Patties" line for Columbus?

Excellent! By the way, Moose Tracks is available here. Personally, I'd prefer Caribou, but that's because I love caribou meat. lleechef, on the other hand, is partial to moose..

Imperial Woodpecker is a vendor @ Hester Street Fair on Saturdays. I'll go on Saturday since it looks like it will be a nice weather day as well (peck on wood)...

Actually, I have discovered Smirnoff's "Whipped Cream" Vodka. I do two things with it:
Mix it with a small amount of triple sec to make an "orangsicle"
Mix it with coke to make a "Vanilla Coke"

Neesa Peterson (owner of Imperial Woodpecker) is so nice she just called me with the 411 on the Sno-Balls. They have private events this Saturday (no Hester Street Fair) and the Gansevoort St. location (I think it's 55 Gansevoort St. ) will be the B&M this season...starting in a few weeks.
