I had a really great bowl at McPartland's Friday night in Buffalo. Had a chance to speak to the owner and he described how they made it.

I have an excellent recipe for "chowda"- involves clams, mussels and potatoes along with the usual suspects- good smoky bacon, cream and fish stock or clam juice or both!
