Even though it doesn't come close to feeling like spring here in the Champlain Valley, Clare and Carl's orginal location on Route 9 South opened for the season today. Wow, they've been open for almost 2 hours and I haven't been there yet! LOL Wally

Well on Saturday we had the two kids and spouses for an early Easter dinner planned for 4.30 PM. I had to exercise a huge amount of restraint to avoid C&C so that I wouldn't spoil my wife's plans for the get-together. Today (Easter Sunday) is another story though!! Wally

I went up to Plattsburgh yesterday to pay a visit. Had two Michigans... Very good sauce! They are off Interstate 87, exit 38. Took me about three hours/ 200 miles from Saugerties. Anywhere past Lake George, all the leaves are changing and falling. HDK

Can anyone tell me what else can be cooked up besides michigans? do they have the typical roadside fare like burgers, fries, etc? what about homemade milkshakes, root beer? Anyone know if they're opened this year for the season; I'm planning to drive down on Sunday?
