Coco Glace, coconut ice crean on a coconut shell

Anyone here familiar with Coco Glace? It is coconut ice cream placed on a coconut shell and sold in mostly Caribbean Latino bodegas and supermarkets.
Although I haven't been able to confirm it I was told this is also popular in Thailand and the Phillipines. On our last trip to So Flo I saw this product expanded to Mango Glace, mango ice cream on a mango skin and several other tropical fruit flavors on the skin of their origins.  Excellent eating....

Hey Jon, Costco sells a variety pack in the freezer section that are what you are talking about. I believe there is a 3rd flavor in it as well. Next time I go I will look into it.

I LOVE coconut ice cream. One of my favorite ice creams of all time is Graeter’s coconut chip. I’d actually like it better without the chocolate chips…but it is really great stuff.

Sounds like a great idea! I just might have to try a homemade version. Looks like you've given me an idea for a quasi-healthy ice cream dessert :) Actually I've been meaning to make more fruit ice creams or sorbets recently. But I hadn't though about serving it with the real fruit, in bowls made of the fruit shell. Excellent idea!
