So c'mon, Roossy, what's next? Pics, we want pics! And narration, we love getting in your head and hearing the reflection of what's happening. You speak truth.

C'mon!

    Hello all ,

Oh Shucks is a fantastic place as I remember.
Also Bunkys Oyster Bar in Satelite Beach had the best Conch Fritters north of Key West that I ever had . And if you walked in wearing one of their t shirts the first adult refreshment was on the house .

I remember getting a pair of Miami Dolphin sneakers in the Merritt Island Walmart in the early 90's , next day we go to Bunkys to watch the Dolphin game and my man Dan Marino goes down and out for the season with an injury , first time I'm wearing these things . Darn you know how hard it was to find size 13 sneakers , a new yorker dolphin fan , and then the season goes down the drain at Bunkys , another order of fritters please .

      hi all,
Ate at a local restaurant last night that has had great reviews. Silvestros. In Publix shopping center in Cocoa Beach. Restaurant is pretty expensive. But for month of August, advertising 50% off entire menu. I ordered the 8oz filet. My father ordered veal scallopini. My husband order the special of chilean sea bass. We also had appetizers of soups and brushetta. I have to say that I was very disappointed. Brushetta tasted stale. Steak was luke warm and tasteless and tough. (Filet?? how does that happen) It rested on a bed of polenta that tasted like cardboard. This meal usually costs $37.95. The only good thing was the special of chilean sea bass. But was still luke warm. Won't go back again.

        Sandy,

Sorry to hear of your disappointing meal at Silvestro's! We've eaten there more than a half dozen times and never encountered anything like you ran into last night. All our meals have been very good or better. I usually order the veal marsala & it's the best I've had in this area. We haven't been there for a few months, so maybe things have changed. Did you notice if Silvestro himself was in the kitchen? (He's a short, wiry, dark-haired guy.) Definately agree that with the prices, this isn't Roadfood.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we managed to get to Roberto's on the way down to Port.St. Lucie. As per usual things don't always go as planned and we ended up traveling down at the tail end of TS Fay. Lots of flooding and heavy rain to contend with. We got the Cubano and Media noche sandwich to go because we were running so far behind and both were very good. After looking through the menu I wished we had been able to eat in and try some of the outstanding sounding choices. When we move back to Florida in a few months it's on my list. Thanks for the tip roossy90.

Regarding lobster rolls in the general area, I recommend Back Bay Seafood in Melbourne.

AS mentioned on my Sno-Ball report, I decided to go to Rolli's Pork Loin Extrordinaire, which our one and only Traveling Man has mentioned and piqued my curious taste bud's!

                                  So...... A dancing Pig!........................
Rolli has a signature SLICED pork tenderloin  sandwiches.
Not the fried cutlet style that is fondly mentioned by Davyydd....
Thin sliced oven roasted pork tenderloins that have been covered in a spicy rub -- Lot's of black pepper, garlic, and other spices that I couldnt put my finger on, then topped with sauteed peppers and onions, provolone cheese, and a "special" remoulade, on a kaiser roll. You have a choice of "The Rolli", or the "Rolli Junior".
I went with the junior, as I had my eyes on the BUCKET OF FRIES-Maryland Style!,

(which was HEARTILY seasoned with Old Bay).. Now. thats a business after my own heart!--Old Bay!..Oh yeah!
Oh, and malt vinegar!!!.. I am stoked!.. First I found the huge fries with vinegar at Sno-Balls and now tempting me with the Old Bay! at Rolli!.......)

and a fried hot dog. Oh, Oh, My stomach!.....But I had to try it. I love beef hot dogs, and a fried beef weenie is icing on the cake!

She forgot the peppers on my sandwich, but that was ok, and I opted for no cheese. I am not a big "cheese on food" kinda girl anyway...

This is the "medium" (ha ha) fry!..

And of course, my jumbo dawg!

A very small counter type service, with a couple outdoor tables.. I take it most of their business is on the fly as opposed to sit down, due to the few tables and chairs there. They have a decent assortment of sandwiches, including a grilled chicken pesto, which if i recall, is a pesto type mayo.. Sounds good to me. A philly cheesesteak is also on the menu, the standard burger, and other items, which totally escapes my mind right now, as the menu is at home, and I am at work doing this.

Once again, Steve,  aka The Traveling Man has another winner on his hands!-now I can understand his loving this place......we were supposed to rendevous there, but I didnt read my email on Sunday, and so, we missed each other....

However, there are a couple places I do want to try down "his" way (20 miles away from me), so I guess eventually we will meet up sooner or later.....

Here in hopes that my photos will be normal sized instead of tiny.........
