Colorado Springs - early 1970's Fri, 02/1/08 1:23 PM (permalink)

Hello.... new here...

When I was little, we used to travel to Colorado Springs in the summer months. We used to go to this place called "The Soda Straw", and they served ice cream. I don't remember if they served burgers or not, but it was indoors, and they had a dish called the Pikes Peak, which was a ton of ice cream, with sparklers stinking out of the top, lit! The waiters and waitresses sang to you as they brought it your table, and they had this box they cranked that made a fire siren noise. (I know this because I can remember my older brother ordered one!)

Does this place still exist, and if not, what ever happened to it? I remember it being the coolest place!

Thank you in advance!
