Little Pigs for BBQ (Alpine rd. near the BCBS tower), Palmetto Pig near Huger St. is not bad for BBQ, Lizard's Thicket for meat & 3's (several locations around Columbia), and Hennesey's on Main St for steaks. California Dreaming also has great prime rib. They're on Main st. south of the capitol in a renovated railway station. That's if you want to stay aways from chains.

    That's my .02
