I have a concession trailer and on Sundays we do a market but we have another event shortly after the market completes, my question is if any person has advice on how to transport our unit and what can we store the oil that is still hot so we can get to our next venue?

what are you using the oil in? Fryer oil especially HOT oil loves to find some way to spill itself when being transported.

If you can get the old coke canisters, try them. There stainless steel. I use them to drain my hot oil into. Something else I have to do sometimes is turn your fryers off, put cut potatoes in your fryer and let them cook a while. This brings down the temp. of the oil pretty fast. You may have to do this several times. After the temp. of the oil goes below 200 degrees, your pretty much safe to drain it back into the 5 gallon plastic containers it comes in.

I KNOW that 99.999999% of the people here would never ever consider this, and have complete common sense. Over the years, I have assumed that everyone would know this to be crazy. It is much more of an I cannot believe anyone would consider doing this statement, than anything. I have been privy to more than one genius, who attempted to cool down hot oil quicky, by throwing ice cubes into the fryer. Oy! I thought some things never needed to be articulated. Some need to be told.
