I am going to to North Creek, NY (Gore Mountain - Adirondacks). Good places to stop?...go out of my to get to?..Thanx!

You might want to check out the postings on "Montreal via New New York Thruway " for recommended stops en route to the Adirondacks. If you haven't ever stopped at the diner near the end of the Taconic Parkway, I'd recommend their pattie melt and coconut cream pie.

Smith's Restaurant is in North Creek. I had good breakfast there with homemade bread and pies.
