Buddy,

I'm just trying to get a head count for the reservation. We can plan the rest of the day later, although I'd like to show up with an empty stomach. I want to enjoy every bite I can. Ilija will serve us family-style and the variety will be amazing.

What would be a good start time at Ilija's for the Illinois end of The Contingent?

I just spoke with Ilija about our dinner. He is planning a family style meal including burek, Serbian salad, and a variety of main dishes to try. He said he can accommodate dietary preferences if we bring them to his attention when we arrive. The cost will be $22 per person for the complete meal (including dessert by PieDiva). Seating for dinner is at 5:30, but expect a leisurely dining experience.

Let me know of any change in plans so I can adjust the reservation up or down.

Hmm, normally I don't think I could protect you but if you're willing to do those cartwheels following a meal at Ilija's,
I'd take one for you. I think I'm going out shopping for a video camera as we'll want to preserve that Kodak Moment forever.
