For those fans of Texas BBQ,in today's San Antonio Express News,
food section, they had a question from a reader.
"According to Food Flashes on Feb.14,Cooper's BBQ announced they were going toopen a restaurant in New Braunfels in June Could you please update the status of Cooper's opening please?
Answer:Cooper's Old-Time Pit BBQ of Llano is one of the most-lauded barbecue joints in the state. It is still planning on opening a restaurant in New Braunfels, but the date will be later than originally thought. The restaurant will now open sometime after Labor Day,according to a spokesman."
Too bad they don't open it in Cibolo in the old Pat's Place, which after closing became several other places, including RailRoad Seafood Station. It's a very nice log cabin building. The one drawback it has is the place sits aways back from FM78 near the banks of Deitz Creek. It would cost plenty to move the building and put it closer to the road.
Never at any bbq in LLano,so I can't wait to try it.
