We are planning a Saturday dash from Fort Worth to one of the Coopers locations. Which one is your favorite?

I've only been to the one in Llano, and it was great, but I think TX Monthly liked the Mason location only.

Cooper's is only the best bbq in the world. I went to just about every big time que joint. Cooper's in Llano was the best I had, with relatively no question in my mind. You pick the meat right out of the smoker. The best ribs of all time. Unbelievable pork chop, first class brisket. Well worth going way out of your way for. It's what you would expect a bbq place in heaven would be like. Had to get a rack of ribs to go after eating a rack there along with a pound of brisket, a beautiful beef rib, sausage, and cobbler. If you haven't been to Cooper's, it's hard to judge other bbq. I'm surprised there isn't a write up here.

I'm thinking that you're going to get an argument on this.

Hmm-- Cooper's is the only one of the "Big 5 in Texas" (Louis Mueller's, City Market, Smitty's, and Kreuz (sp?)and Cooper's) I haven't been to yet- so I think on 8/27-- road trip! Anyone else out there that can compare?
