Corned Beef and Cabbage

It's St Patrick's day minus one. The corned beef is in the hot tub, no I mean the crock pot. Doing it as recommended by a post on Roadfood of a year ago. Thank you.

The guest are on their way.

The beer is as cold as I can get it.

Although corned beef is not Irish is will do just fine today.

Hrtr's God Bless Us, and may ya' be in Heaven an hiur
before the devil knows your gone. Slantsha !!!!!!

Mine is on, too!!!!Couldnt wait until tomorrow. The beer isnt green, but its cold, and in a couple of hours we will be toasting all my Irish ancestors-whom I am sure are raising a pint or two already! They always started celebrating a day early-I sure miss those days with them.

Annie , your a girl after me own heart !!!

Well I have enough c-b cooking to have a great big corned beef on rye
with cole slaw and a half-sour pickle tomorrow.

And corned beef hash and eggs on Tuesday.

And----The soda bread will be as hot as the beer is cold with "REAL"
    butter, Bigorra.

Then I can sit back and forget about corned beef until next year.
Unless, of course, I happen to be in the "Big City" around a good
    Jewish Deli.

Don't forget that when you're hoisting your pint.

Top---thanks for the correct spelling of slainte. Could not find
it without getting off the site and looking under the bed or
someplace. Top, me boy, I think that Ireland will forever be split
but thank God the blood letting has stopped for now.

Ann----------ignore your German side for the day, or the week or
whatever---it can only give you "wurst" trouble than you can imagine.

Actually I was half-way adopted by a German family after my father
died, they aren't so bad. Actually that family was damn good.
    Love German food.
