Our little lunch group occasionally hits this place. IMO, the food is good, the service at this location (Crystal City VA) isn't as fast as I've heard other Corner Bakeries are. The bread is very good. Generally I have soup or salad and enjoy them very much. The sandwiches are good, but I wish they'd give you a few more chips than they do - it's a little skimpy on the chips, but then I don't really need too many chips in my diet either.
I think it's a little on the expensive side, but still just under $10 for entree and drink, and although you order it at a counter, they come and serve it to you.
The decor is pleasant, the restrooms are clean and nicely appointed, and the staff is generally helpful and agreeable.

Overall, I think this is a good chain.

any other thoughts and experiences?

Think that Corner Bakery is okay, but used to be better...My son's favorite is their panini chicken sandwich with the pesto mayo..I think that their cinnamon pound cake is wonderful...The rest of their bakery items are hit and miss...Their brownies are good if you like really rich brownies...have not tried the individual pies..they look a bit dry to me...Like their caesar salad, but wish the chicken they add to it was grilled...Frankly where they really shine, is their soups..Many of them are really, really good..Not a cheap place, but then not a "drive thru"...

We don't get to Corner Bakery very often but my favorite is the tuna on olive bread, very tasty and I love the bread. I also enjoy the ham on pretzel bread, again the bread is stellar. I have had their reuben a few times but I don't like the sauce they use, this is served as panini and usally is very uneven in the pressing.
