Cornish Hens

I stuffed some Cornish Hens with fresh herbs from my garden along with a little garlic, celery and onion. I cooked them on my Weber Kettle, indirect heat, applewood chips. They came out great!

Very nice agnesrob. Those Weber Kettles are hard to beat, guess I'm going to have to get one.

Love game hens on the grill...I've been known to split them, marinate them in State Fair spiedie sauce and grill the directly..

They look great! I've never bought game hens but think I need to give them a try.

They were good size, I didn't eat a whole one. My son had no trouble, though. John A, until I can afford that smoker I want I will be using that dependable Weber. Mar52, yes, try them. They are great. When I cook them in my oven I like to split them and roast them over a bed of cut up onions, carrots, potatoes & garlic.

agnesrob, I've used a Weber for smoking for years. It does a decent job. Takes a bit more work but does really well.

They look as good as the ones served at the Cozy Corner in Memphis. They are great!

My favorite grill has always been the weber charcoal. A little more work but has always been easier for me to use. Is a Cornish hen just a very small immature chicken? Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

Smith Knoxville, TN Yes, I really do love my Weber charcoal grill. The work of it is part of what I enjoy. I think Cornish hens are just immature chickens. My kids have always loved getting their own chicken. Actually, I think I did too as a kid!

Cosmos Love game hens on the grill...I've been known to split them, marinate them in State Fair spiedie sauce and grill the directly.. That's the ticket! My mom just did a mess of chicken halves like that for last Sunday dinner, never thought about using game hen. I'm going to have to try that. On second thought, it wasn't the spiedie sauce, she used the State Fair chicken marinade... I think I'd like the spiedie sauce on it better.
